There are various zinc-based alloys with base metals for obtaining specific properties, necessary both for hot zincing process and conferring required properties to the finished products. Following alloys are the most widespread ones:

Galvalum is an alloy of following chemical composition: 55% of aluminium, 1,6% os silicium, the rest is zinc.
Galphan is a zinc alloy with 4 - 5 % of aluminium and admixtures of lanthanum and cerium.
