Silicon

Silicon is a substance of dark-grey colour with metallic lustre. It is typical semi-conductor. Rather brittle.

Silicon is more widely used in alloys production for increasing strength of aluminium, copper and magnesium and for ferrosilicides production.

Fusion temperature is 1415°C
